Kinlow reports, it does not advise. We show you heavy metal test results that manufacturers have published themselves, with the source and the date. We do not test products, and we never tell you whether a product is safe or unsafe.
What Kinlow is
Kinlow is an information tool. You scan a barcode and the app shows what the manufacturer of that product has published about heavy metal testing, together with a link to the source and the date it was collected.
What Kinlow is not
Kinlow is not medical, nutritional or health advice, and it is not a safety rating. The app draws no conclusions about any product. Decisions about what to feed a child belong to you and, where appropriate, to a pediatrician or other qualified professional.
About the data
The data comes from what brands publish. It is therefore incomplete by nature: brands publish the lots they choose, and many products have no published results at all. A lot that has been tested is not the same as the jar on your shelf today, and an absence of published results says nothing about a product.
A value written as "below the detection threshold" is not zero. It means the test could not measure the substance down to its sensitivity limit.
We copy published figures as published. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or current validity of information published by third parties, and a result can change or be withdrawn by its publisher at any time.
Brand names
Brand and product names are used to identify the products they designate. Kinlow is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any manufacturer.
Availability
Kinlow is provided as is. The database is a snapshot at the time the app version was released, not a live feed.
